As the final days of camp unfold, it’s amazing to reflect on all that has taken place. Spaces that were once quiet through the winter have been transformed and brought to life, filled once again with laughter, courage, worship, and a true sense of belonging.
At Sullivan Hills Camp, Filsinger Pond has been restored. New mattresses now offer campers a restful place to recharge after long days of adventure and faith formation. A new UTV helps staff care for the property and respond quickly across campgrounds.
At Carol Joy Holling Camp, the CL and Rachel Werner Crystal Springs Lake has returned as a centerpiece for summer fun and connection. Renovated cabins and shower house at The Springs create more comfortable and accessible experiences. Two new zip lines invite campers to step boldly into moments of courage and joy.
These are exciting improvements, but the story is about much more than buildings, lakes, and equipment.
It’s about what happens when campers arrive.
It’s the shy child who finds their people for the very first time. The middle school camper who discovers confidence while soaring across a zip line. The counselor who prays with a homesick camper at bedtime.
The friendships formed around campfires, in cabins, on trails, and beside the lake. The moments where faith becomes real: not just something talked about, but something lived and experienced.
Because of generous supporters, the places are ready. And, together, we help bring them to life.
Every summer, camp becomes holy ground for transformation. Camperships make it possible for children and youth to experience camp regardless of their financial circumstances.
Summer Ministry Team members pour their energy, faith, and care into every camper they encounter.
Simple traditions—friendship bracelets, sno kones after a hot afternoon, songs around the fire—become the moments campers remember for years to come.
None of that happens without the support of people who believe camp changes lives for the better.
