Of course, we can all give any day of the year. It's fun and it makes us feel good. But, there was something special about Tuesday, December 2nd. It was #GivingTuesday and a whole bunch of us gave together. What a joy!
We set a goal of raising $20,000 for our Western Town STREET project and we are thrilled to tell you that we did it! More than 70 donors gave in amounts of $5 to $10,000 and every gift made it possible. We raised $20,000 - enough to purchase more than 300 pallets of bricks.
A camper, Hannah, wanted to support the place that she considers a second home so she gave $130. Friends, R.J. and Suzanne Sall, made a first time gift of $10,000 to encourage others to give. So many others gave so generously to support and be a part of this fun project. We are grateful!
And, our staff got in on the fun too. Staff members surprised more than 50 of our friends with fun candy packs and a visit. We documented the visits and posted pictures all day on Facebook. You can see it all here! It was a blast!
So - thank you for your continued support of Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries' places and programs!
