How did you get to be a counselor?

I loved going to church camp every summer! But I never even thought about becoming a counselor until a friend knocked on my dorm room door at Midland Lutheran College in the spring of 1997. After talking to him, I didn’t even have to think very long about applying. I met with Sunni in the student center one afternoon and it was so fun to talk to her about Carol Joy Holling. I have said many times that June, July and August of 1997 were the best three months of my life! I went to share the love of Christ with children and came back home amazed that my own faith had grown leaps and bounds!
