We are putting together a powerful team of young ministry leaders who are going to change the world by working hard, talking faith and caring for others. Signing on to our team means you will be serving as a  “backyard missionary” because we will be working with youth right in our own backyard – campers from area farms and cities. Kids need camp - they need a community where living and growing in Christ is contagious and fun. Being on our team means … kids….

You are invited to be a part of our team if you...
•    Are ready to talk about God and share your faith through word and action
•    Will refrain from judgment and truly listen to others share their faith stories
•    Can accept the responsibility of caring for a parent’s most precious possession
•    Want to be accepted, make new friends and be a part of a faith based team
•    Can accept the challenge of being a leader and modeling faith through prayer, study and worship
•    Like to have fun, aren’t afraid to be silly, can initiate conversation and smile a lot
•    Understand the summer will be filled with highs and lows that will stretch you and help you discern your call.

The NLOM Summer Ministry Team provides leadership for our day and residence camp programs. Carol Joy Holling Camp, Ashland, NE and Sullivan Hills Camp near Lodgepole, NE offer programs for first through twelve graders. The mobile Day Camp program for elementary age campers and we offer programs for adults and youth with special needs. Staff assignments are made based on camper numbers, needed expertise, leadership skills and team cohesiveness.

We hire camp counselors, creative arts specialists, pottery specialist, naturalists, adventure program specialists, wranglers, health care staff, lifeguards, site managers and a communication intern. NLOM is eager to help you expand your skills and strengthen your resume and we will work with you to develop an internship in your chosen field for the summer.

Training is provided and required. The leadership and resources available to the summer staff are second-to-none and offer each ministry team member a chance to learn from the best. Training will help you do your job this summer as well as prepare you to serve as a leader on campus and in your chosen field.

Being on the NLOM Summer Ministry Team will change the way you think, work, interact with friends, worship, pray and serve for years to come. And we have a lot of fun doing it!
