Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries owns and operates two residence camps, Carol Joy Holling Camp (near Ashland, NE) and Sullivan Hills Camp (near Lodgepole, NE). NLOM also offers Day Camp programs in 28 congregations each summer.

What Makes Camp Such A Special Place?

What makes camp such a special place? The people are the key to our success! Our college-age staff are strong Christian role models and enthusiastic about serving the Lord. Staff come to be an example and to help God's children grow in their faith through fun, action packed activities. They go through a rigorous 10 day training program that includes emergency procedures, risk management, Lutheranism, developmental characteristics, behavior modification lessons, worship planning, games, songs, cookouts and much more. "Have fun but be safe" is our policy.

All NLOM programs are focused on building relationships. Through small groups, trained staff, quality facilities and teaching through experiential learning we are able to provide campers of all ages with the opportunity to serve in leadership roles, be part of a caring Christian community, and grow in self-confidence and self-reliance skills. Camp is for the camper and the NLOM staff always go the extra mile to be sure a camper is cared for and included.
