With the addition of our new first-class retreat facility, The Swanson Center, we are using volunteer hosts each weekend and some weekdays. Volunteers will help with guest check-in and general hospitality services - nothing too physical, just lots of good fellowship and friendship!

Volunteers are needed for guest assistance at the Swanson Center front desk.  Guests usually arrive on Friday evenings and will stay until Saturday afternoon, possibly Sunday. Volunteers are needed to be a friendly face at front desk, make coffee, check supplies, find supplies for guests, answer the phone, answer guest’s questions, provide room keys and unlock doors..

Qualifications:
-     Some knowledge of camp would be great but not necessary
-     Basic phone skills
-     Good communication skills and a friendly face
-     The ability to work independently within the Retreat & Conference Team

Training
Training will take place on site when volunteer arrives. Most likely, the volunteer will shadow a current Retreat & Conference staffer or volunteer. A representative will spend time with the volunteer host and will give them a tour of the Swanson Center, information on common questions from guests and procedures for retreat groups, as well as all pertinent information to ensure a successful experience.
